The Happy Hollisters and The Mystery of the Little Mermaid #18 (1960)
The Happy Hollisters was a series of books following the adventures of the adventuresome Hollister family, which included give children, two parents and various pets. They had mysteries to solve all over the world. The series was written in the 1950s-1960s, and unlike other series such as Nancy Drew or the Hardy Boys, which were written by various authors under the same pen name, this series was written entirely by Andrew E. Svenson, under the pen name Jerry West. The Hollister series books, as well as the Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys series, were published by the Stratemeyer Syndicate, which also published The Bobbsey Tins and Tom Swift. The wonderful illustrations were created by Helen S. Hamilton.
In this volume, the Hollisters are traveling to Denmark where they meet a member of the royal household, who has a valuable figurine. It goes missing and the mystery begins! This volume is hardcover with the dust jacket, 184 pages. It was printed in the U.S.A. and is in very good condition; the name Lisa Urvater is written in blue ink on the inside front cover and back.
